1. The "TORO Newsletter Sign-up Contest" contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by Black Angus Media Inc., publisher of TORO Magazine at www.toromagazine.com ("TORO"), and referred to as the "Contest Sponsors."

2. The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, except residents of Quebec, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the first day of the Contest Period. Contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and is void where prohibited by law.

3. Notwithstanding the above, the Contest is not open to individuals associated with the Contest, including the employees, agents or representatives (collectively, the "Excluded Individuals") of the Contest Sponsors (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising or promotional agencies) and suppliers providing prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest. This Contest is also not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals, and all other persons with whom the Excluded Individuals reside.

4. All entries become the sole property of, and are subject to verification by, TORO. Any entry that is illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is invalid. The use of any automated equipment to participate in this Contest is prohibited.

5. Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere with these Contest rules, deliberately damage any website or undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the Contest, is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and TORO and the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and/or other relief from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. TORO and the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion and without prior notice, to amend, cancel, close, suspend or reinstate this Contest at any time and for any reason whatsoever.

7. The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

8. The Contest and the Contest rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario. Any dispute shall be adjudicated in the courts sitting in Toronto, Ontario.

9. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest rules, which are subject to change without notice to Contest entrants individually, and each entrant releases the Contest Sponsors, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents and advertising and promotional agencies, from any damage, loss or liability suffered as a result of or arising from the entrant's participation in Contest or the use of any prize.

10. No purchase is required to enter this Contest. For a chance to win prizes you will need to complete the registration form provided on http://www.toromagazine.com/newsletter/ by entering your first name, last name, city, province, email address, daytime telephone number (including area code), and age. Upon registration, you will receive TORO Newsletters to be sent to the e-mail address in your registration weekly.

11. During the Contest Period, a random draw will be held for eligibility to win certain prizes the type, number and value to be at Toro’s sole discretion as shall be more specifically described on www.toromagazine.com/newsletter/. Periodically during the Contest Period, entrants will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The winners may be posted on the Contest Sponsors’ website, at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsors, within five days of being contacted following the random selection applicable for the specific prize being drawn for during the Contest Period.

12. In order to be declared a winner by TORO, a potential winner must be in compliance with these Contest rules and, in particular, the following:

a) A TORO employee must be able to reach the potential winner by telephone or email within five (5) business days of the date on which the potential winner's entry was selected.

b). The potential winner must correctly answer, within a set time frame, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by a TORO employee.

c) The potential winner must complete, sign and return a standard form declaration and Release prepared by TORO within 10 business days from the date on which the form is sent to the potential winner. The winners must claim their prize by no later than 30 days after the date they were initially contacted.

13. If a potential or declared winner is not in compliance with the Contest rules, TORO reserves the right to disqualify such entrant from the Contest and randomly select further entrants from the remaining eligible entries until a winner is finally declared.

14. Entrants will not be individually contacted, except for selected entrants or declared winners, who will be contacted by telephone or email.

15. The Prize shall be accepted as is and shall not be exchanged for an amount of money, is non-transferable. No substitutions are allowed.

16. By entering this Contest all entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their Personal Information (information that identifies them as an individual, for example, name, telephone number, age and address) by TORO for the purpose of administering this Contest and awarding the prizes and in accordance with the TORO Privacy Policy. This personal information shall not be used for any other purpose without the participant’s consent except as described in the TORO Privacy Policy. By providing this Personal Information, participants consent to it being used for the stated purposes in the TORO Privacy Policy.
