ART

How can one experience not impact the other when the creative mind is at play? With that thought, the Art Gallery of Ontario has launched a major retrospective, "Julian Schnabel: Art and Film", that runs through January 2, 2011. The show examines the connections between painting and film in Schnabel's work, revealing a rich interplay between the two media. TORO took part in a round-table discussion with Schnabel and experienced the exhibit of "sly, innovative, rough-hewn, often monumental paintings."
