CARIBOU TAKES A SWIM ON NEW DISC

Daniel Snaith aka Caribou puts on a loud show, like being inside a giant calculator that’s doing taxes. Not that that isn’t amazing - the dude did win the Polaris prize in 2007, after all.

On April 20, Snaith’s third album as Caribou (he had previously recorded under the moniker Manitoba) will be released. It’s called Swim, and for the price of your email address, you can check out the first single “Odessa” via the link below. It’s possibly the funkiest song Snaith has recorded so far.

According to Pitchfork, the album will feature guest appearances from “a quartet of Toronto free-jazz horn players and Born Ruffians' Luke Lalonde”. Anticipation level: high.
