At least 12 people took ill and five were taken to hospital on Tuesday after eating at Toronto’s annual exhibition, the CNE.

The news as to what exactly is causing this gastrointestinal sickness has yet to be uncovered but according to the CBC, one Ex patron reported that “his wife became sick after eating a cronut burger, seafood chowder fries, ice cream waffles and a smoothie at the CNE.”

Uhhh, DUH? Whether or not this ostensible ailment is related to actual contaminants or not seems moot. We at TORO feel that getting a tummy ache from eating what amounts to be two days worth of calories (most of which come from fat) in one sitting and then complaining about it is akin to sticking a hand into a beehive and whining that you were stung.

In other news, at least three people got nauseous after riding the tilt-a-whirl.
