Our friends in rising Toronto band The Box Tiger are set to release a brand-new single, “Set Fire to Your Friends,” on iTunes November 6. Before then we’re hosting an exclusive stream of the song. Do yourself a favour and listen below, as you may not hear a tighter indie rock track this season.

The Box Tiger will be playing a number of dates across Southern Ontario and the Northeastern US next month, including an opening spot for furious indie rock legends ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead November 20 @ Lee’s Palace in Toronto. Check out those dates and the stream:

A little confused about some of the other comments! The production and performance of this is in my opinion fantastic! Comes a long way sonically from the earlier material (in a good way) Nothing is ever as good as a live performance and The Box Tiger is fantastic live, but I've been blaring this song in my car since I downloaded it! Sounds great to me. Can't wait to hear the new album.

This song lacks the same passion and emotion as any of the live versions of this song seen online. It's as if it's been exhausted.

I have to say, I dig this band and all, but every one of the songs on their last EP are better than this one. I hope what's to come for their next album shines a little brighter than this tune.

their is no a-b in this song..its like driving in a car with no direction i feel as if their older material was a little more thought out..however, she still has such a great voice that keeps you captivated

This band seems to have come a long way since two years ago. This song sounds fantastic! I've seen them live recently and they blew me away. Can't wait for the next show and new album!!
