Julia Loktev’s The Loneliest Planet was unfortunately overlooked at last year’s TIFF. Here’s the first trailer for the drama, which thankfully doesn’t give away its startling, undeniably clever plot twist.

The film, starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Hani Furstenberg as a couple put to the test, and Bidzina Gujabidze as their morally ambiguous traveling guide, will hit North American theaters August 21. I hope I never have to spell their names again.
