FOOD

It’s the weekend in Toronto. The sun is shining. You’ve made your way to the Drake patio too many times to count and you’re in the mood for a spot that is more urbane than it is urban. But you want good food, attractive women and a “scene.”
Is that asking too much?
Nope.
Head to Caffé Doria - a quaint Rosedale fixture with regulars ranging from neighborhood notables like Jeanne Beker to ritzy soccer moms to bichons in Burberry.
You asked for urbane!
Jokes aside, the Italian café, idyllically sitting within a flower-girded terrace, is a solid daytime spot. Holding court on the corner of Yonge and Roxborough, Doria has a latte that could ingratiate Sam James and a wood fire pizza that rivals Pizzeria Libretto for top billing.
In short: the Toronto restaurant offers a glimpse into The Real Housewives of Toronto. Oh, as well as good food, beautiful outdoor real estate and strangely satisfactory people watching. Couple that with a ripe avocado and tomato “Morning Panini” and you’re as golden as the earrings on that lady sitting next to you.
Caffé Doria, 1094 Yonge Street Toronto, Ontario (416) 920-5315.
