Meet one of Canada’s fittest females, national heptathlon champ and Olympic medal hopeful Jessica Zelinka.
“I challenge anybody in the world to look physically fitter and better,” says her coach Les Gramantik.
We couldn’t agree more.
Zelinka entered the London Games on a high, having shattered her own heptathlon record last month in Calgary with 6,599 points and pacing a world-class field with a victory in the 100m hurdles.
We caught up with Zelinka, who finished fifth in Beijing in 2008, at the pool (yes, we know there's no swimming in heptathlon) for this photo session with Jeremy McCormack.
ED'S UPDATE: Jessica Zelinka finished seventh in women's heptathlon in London. She runs in the semifinals of the women's 100 metre hurdles on Tuesday.
