Erin Rose Elizabeth English is tinier than you might imagine, but with a larger-than-life personality. “I’m very much a Scorpio,” she says. I suggest that she’s gentler than most Scorpios. “Well, there’s a line for me,” she explains. “Also, you’ve never done anything bad to me.” True. But I’d rather meet her in a dark alley than fellow Scorpios George S. Patton, Joseph McCarthy, Ike Turner or Lou Ferrigno.
TORO visited sunny Los Cabos, Mexico, where the sandy beaches were the perfect backdrop for this bikini shoot with Erin English. A horse was even corralled into the act, which added some dramatic flare to the series of pictures by photographer Phil Brideaux.
TORO takes you backstage at our moody photo shoot with striking Canadian actress Charlotte Sullivan. She shared the screen with Woody Harrelson in the superhero comedy Defendor. Photographer Franco Deleo has high praise for her talents, saying that she took on a "character that was so strong consistently throughout the whole set ... so talented, such a great actress."
Canadian actress Katheryn Winnick wore a long red dress for her TORO Woman photo shoot, and it speaks volumes when a sophisticated lady puts on red – pay attention, I'm a knockout.
This is not the first time Katheryn Winnick has caught our eye – we profiled the striking beauty back in September 2005 in the print version of TORO Magazine. Now she’s working alongside some of the top talent in Hollywood. In Cold Souls – wherein Paul Giamatti stars as a fictional version of himself – Winnick plays a Russian soap-opera actress. Her other upcoming projects include Love and Other Drugs directed by Ed Zwick and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Killers starring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher.
We remember Katheryn Winnick from the September 2005 print edition of TORO Magazine, and we've been following her ascent ever since. The Canadian actress shared credits with Paul Giamatti in Cold Souls (2009), a dark comedy about Giamatti's fictional alter ego, and she was directed by Ed Zwick for the upcoming Love and Other Drugs, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. We caught up with the blue-eyed blonde in her hometown of Toronto, where Phil Brideaux took these sexy glamour shots of the rising star.
We take you behind the scenes at the TORO Woman photo shoot in sunny Mexico with model Sara Balint. Out on the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula the stunning blonde turned heads as she strutted down boardwalks in designer swimwear. Balint's glamorous side shone through with photographer Phil Brideaux at the helm. "She has this diva quality about her that totally fit," says hair and makeup stylist Giancarlo Intini.
A funny thing happened to Sara Balint on the beach in Los Cabos, Mexico. She was filming behind-the-scenes moments with TORO’s Tony Felgueiras when a half-dozen young Mexican men approached. A few had cameras. Most were smiling. They seemed dazzled by her particular brand of blonde beauty, sort of a cross between a young Suzanne Somers and Cheryl Tiegs.
When TORO visited Los Cabos, Mexico, we knew it would be hot, but we didn't know it would be this hot. Model Sara Balint lit up the sandy beaches with her bikini and killer body and then cooled down again in the luxurious infinity pools. During the cold winter months, there's no substitute for the sun's rays, but the blonde brought some heat back up north, and she's willing to share.
To usher in the new year, we're taking a look back with a TORO Woman tribute to our Cover Girls. We've just launched our print archive and thought it would be fun to have a look back at some of the lovely ladies that have graced covers past. From Dita Von Teese to Melissa Auf der Maur to Elizabeth Banks, we've been blessed indeed.
